Experiencing a loving God & loving People
Each week we want you to be able to experience the love of God through the great music, encouraging messages, friendly people and creative atmosphere that are a part of the SCC experience. And we know that your first time at a church, any church, brings up some questions:

How do I get there… what should I wear… what's available for my kids… what should I expect in church?

Here is a quick look at what you can expect to experience when you join us at a Sunday Gathering.

[What should I wear?]
Most people will dress in casual weekend attire, so dress how you feel comfortable and you'll fit right in.

[What's available for my kids?]
  • Nursery (Children ages Birth - 2 years)
  • Your child (children) is provided with a safe and caring nursery, staffed by qualified childcare volunteers who enjoy caring and praying for children in a comforting enviroment.
  • Preschool (Children ages 3-5)
  • Your child (children) is provide with a safe and fun area designed with interactive activities and caring adults who instruct children through love and respect.
  • Kidzone (Children grades K-5)
  • Your child (children) is treated to an exciting, educational, and entertaining, experience in our Kidzone. Our caring volunteers create a themed lesson every week that stimulates children to discover and become exactly who God has created them to be.
All of our children's centers can be reached directly from the entry lobby in the theater.

[What happens when I arrive?]

Parking can be challenging, but follow the "SCC" green signs to the Edwards Theater on the 6th level.

The first people you will meet will welcome you and answer any questions you may have. When you enter someone give you an "Update" (bulletin) that has some info about SCC. The "Update" has an attached connection card you can fill out anytime during the gathering. We will never single you out during the service. This card is our way of getting to know you better. You can complete as much information as you feel comfortable and turn it in when the offering is received.

Before you enter the auditorium, stop by the refreshment table and enjoy a continental breakfast with snacks, coffees, teas, juices, bagels, pasteries, cookies and donuts. You can take it to your seat to enjoy during the gathering.

[Where will I sit?]
As you enter the theater you can choose to sit at any of the comfortable stadium seats located throughout the auditorium.

[What should I expect in service?]
  • Service often starts with with a video, media presentation, or song and a welcome by our lead pastor, Kelly Fellows. Then the music begins.
  • The musical portion of our service is called "Expressions." This simply means that it is our time to express our worship of God through music. As the band leads, you are invited to join in as we place the words on the overhead screen.
  • After a time of prayer there may be a video or drama followed by the message of the day.
  • Messages at SCC are Biblical, relevant, practical, and creative and usually are a part of a series of messages.
  • There may be a time of reflection. Then our band leads a couple songs that allow us to respond to God's message.
  • After service you can check out the Connections Table. There you can find information about our lifelinks, and other events. .Stick around and meet Pastor Kelly & his wife Leah and other friendly members. Feel free to ask any questions about SCC as you grab a snack and coffee directly after the gathering. Relax and enjoy the SCC experience. This is a great opportunity for you to experience a loving God and loving people.
[worship series]
At SCC, our weekly gatherings, usually consist of series. Every message @ SCC is inspired by the Bible, God's Word. We use everyday language that you can understand, process and apply. We don't offer a man-made formula or step-by-step solution to all of life's problems. Instead we explore what God teaches through His Word and this gives us the tools we need to face life's challenges no matter the year, culture or problem.

Our series of messages explore a focus or theme over 4-8 weeks. We carry a theme throughout the series using multi-media, drama and other elements that connect each creative expression of God's message.

Each series is digitally reproduced on cd & via the web through podcasting (itunes). You can visit the Connection Table to check-out past message series or click on the podcast icon on the right side of this web-site.
