"TEAM" - South County Church has a high value on doing ministry as a team. As we lead people to become exactly who God has created them to be, and then we help develop those with a "servant's heart" into particpant leaders." It takes many people to fulfill the vison that God has place upon SCC. From children to seniors, everyone plays a vital role. He enjoyed a wonderful traditional childhood. At the age of 16, he tragically lost his mother to emphysema. Through the death of his mother, Kelly began to search for life's answers; he found those answers in Christ. At the age of 17, he committed his heart and life to Jesus Christ and began to realize his calling. He started his ministry to youth at the age of 18 by helping to establish Youth for Truth, the youth ministry of New Life Chapel, in Hesperia, CA. After seven years of ministering to Jr. High students as a volunteer, Kelly was hired full time to develop the youth program, leading more than 250 students, ages 12 through 24 years-old. During his 12 years of youth ministry at New Life Chapel, he was involved in camps, retreats and youth conferences in such capacities as teaching, speaking and programming. In 1998 he joined the National Foursquare Youth Ministries team in Los Angeles, CA. During the one year with NFYM he helped in the early development of a national youth ministry approach called "uturn." In July 1999 he join the Midwest District of Foursquare Churches as District Youth Director of a 5 state region. During his 4 years as DYD he oversaw the training and equipping of over 150 churches in the areas of Youth Ministry & Leadership Development. Kelly is a graduate of Azusa Pacific University and an ordained minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. As a small child she made the decision to follow Christ. She attended New Life Chapel, in Hesperia, CA where her parents served for 15 years as assistant pastors. At NLC, Leah served in Sunday School Programs, Children's Ministries, Director of Sunshine Preschool, and partnered in the development of Youth for Truth. Leah received her Bachelor's Degree and teaching credentials from California State University - San Bernardino, in 1993. From 1993 Â 1999 she taught second grade in the Victor Valley Elementary School District. In 1999 she joined the Midwest District of Foursquare Churches as Director of Children's Ministry. Her responsibilities included directing summer camps and providing leadership training for hundreds of churches on a variety of family and children's topics. Currently Leah works from home as an Educational Consultant for a home based Charter School program known as K12.
